| Offenders Required to Register: |
Any individual who is convicted of certain sex offenses and offenses against
children. · Any individual who was incarcerated, on probation or parole, or
serving any other form of community supervision as the result of an adjudication
of guilt for the listed offenses as of this acts effective date. Any person who
is acquitted on the grounds of mental disease or defect for the listed offenses.
Any person who was required to register under the Habitual Child Arkansas Sex Offender
Registration Act. |

Name, DOB, physical characteristics, address, drivers license number, SSN,
place of employment, photograph, fingerprints, description of crime for which
registration is required, registration status. |

| Timeframe for Registration: |
Inform the Arkansas Crime Information Center in writing and report to the
local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction: 1) any change in residence
address no later than ten (10) days before moving to or returning to the state
from another jurisdiction, 2) establishing residency at a new address or 3)
within ten (10) days after release from incarceration or after the date of
sentencing. |

15 years after conviction or release from prison for sex or child offender.
20 years for violent sexual predators. |

Must return a Verification of Residence address form every six months (every
three months for a designated sexually violent predator). |
| Penalties for Non-Compliance: |
Failure to register or failure to report changes of address as required
shall be guilty of a Class D felony. Class D felonies are punishable by up to
six years imprisonment and up to a $10,000.00 fine. |

As of 5/99 there are no procedures for general public access to information
from the Arkansas Sex Offenders Registry system. As noted, community notification
is conducted by local law enforcement; in some cases schools may notify parents
of information received from a law enforcement agency. |
