Law and Victim's Rights The right to be informed Victims of crime or their lawful representatives,
including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be
informed.
The right to be present Victims of crime or their lawful representatives,
including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be
present.
The right to be heard (a) Victims of crime or their lawful
representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to
the right to be heard when relevant, at all crucial stages of criminal
proceedings.

information regarding the victims' rights.

16. RIGHTS OF ACCUSED AND OF VICTIMS.
(a) [pertains to rights of the accused] (b) Victims of crime or their
lawful representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are
entitled to the right to be informed, to be present, and to be heard when
relevant, at all crucial stages of criminal proceedings, to the extent that
these right do not interfere with the constitutional rights of the accused.

| Offenders Required to Register: |
Sexual predators (a higher level of offense) whose date of
offense was committed on or after October 1, 1993. Sexual offenders convicted
and released on or after October 1, 1997. Juveniles offenders convicted as
adults. |

Name, SSN, age, race, sex, DOB, height, weight, hair color, eye
color, photograph, address(es), date & place of employment, fingerprints,
date and place of each conviction, description of crime(s), tattoos or
identifying marks, occupation, DNA and other genetic markers. |

Florida Department of Law Enforcement, local law
enforcement. |
| Timeframe for Registration: |
Within 48 hours of entering a county; establishing a residence;
or changing address. |

Life. Predators or offenders are now allowed to petition the
court for relief from registration after 20 years. During the 20 years they may
not have had any felony or misdemeanor arrests. |

Third degree felony. |
